Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 5th and bring out your Epi-Pens!  The Knoxville Ice Bears Hockey Team is having a Food Allergy Awareness Night.  There are quite a few of us in town and this is our opportunity to be very visible in the community.  The game starts at 7:30 pm.  This evening the Ice Bears will be working with local vendors to promote healthy living while educating the general public on various Food Allergies. Many local groups will be selling Ice Bears tickets as fundraisers so check with your local groups to help out a good cause while enjoying Ice Bears hockey. After the game the greatest fans in the SPHL are invited to stay and get autographs from all the players and Hunnies as they will be stationed throughout the concourse. Last August, 677 walkers raised almost $30,000 for the food allergy and anaphylaxis network!  You can be a part of the 2nd annual event scheduled for Saturday, August 27th, 2011 at Centennial Park in Nashville.  We would like to have Knoxville represented so comment below if you are interested in learning more.
