Food Allergy Friendly Egg Hunt 2013!

I have attached our Egg Hunt flyer for this year’s event on March 30, 2013, at 10:30 am to 11:30 am at UT Gardens.  You will notice that the flyer states that this is a “prized” egg hunt.  There will be three special tickets hidden in three different eggs so the lucky winners will collect a small prize for the win.  A few crafts and games will be available also. Please download and distribute the flyer for the event at school, church and amongst your friends.  egg hunt flyer 2013
In order to protect UT Gardens, we will have a front table with the rules posted for the event.
Our next FACET meeting is scheduled for this Thursday, March 14, at 6:30 pm in the meeting room of the Bearden branch library.  The purpose of this quarterly meeting is to collect donations for the Egg Hunt and organize volunteers for the event.

FACET quarterly meeting Thursday, Dec. 13th.

Please be aware that FACET (Food Allergy Community of East Tennessee) is meeting at 6:30 pm on Thursday, December 13th at the Knoxville Public Library-Bearden Branch meeting room.  (at Papermill and Kingston Pike, across Kingston Pike from PF-Chang’s).  The agenda is: 2013 Planning, Pros and Cons of Food Challenges, joining forces with VEFA and Elijah’s hope.  Hope to see you there!

3rd Annual VEFA Trunk or Treat!

Food allergy friendly Trunk or Treat on Saturday,October 29, 2011.
Bring your ghouls, goblins (princesses or fairies) to a Halloween event safe for them! Decorate your trunk and bring non-food treats to pass out.
1-2 pm 9017 Cross Park Drive (Allergy and Asthma Affiliates parking lot close to The Cedar Bluff exit on I-40).

Allergy Friendly Trunk or Treat

Before you go trick or treating this Halloween, bring your little monsters, devils, angels and fairies to a party just for them!

Halloween

When: Saturday, October 30th  12:30 pm – 2 pm

Where: The parking lot at 9017 Cross Park Drive (click here for directions)

Bring: A decorated trunk with non-food, or individually labeled nut-free goodies (enough for 20-30 kids)

There will be prizes for the best costumes.

Brainstorming Session + Goodies

Come and sample some of the treats at Gluten-Free Goodies on Saturday, November 14  from 1-2 pm!  This will be a casual get-together to gather ideas for potential events.  If you cannot attend and have a great idea for an activity, please comment on this post.  I hope to see you on Saturday!
