Back to School Time!
August 11, 2011 by jsinger
FAAN the Food Allergy and Anaphlaxis network has a host of helpful tips for back to school on it’s website. I have heard rumors that Knox County public schools may have some new policies or forms. Can anyone comment here?

My son moved from Farragut Primary to Farragut Intermediate this year. We have completed IHP’s (Individual Health Plans) each year instead of 504. We have had a good experience with the nurses at these schools. I did not have to complete different forms this year. Each year the teacher has approached the situation differently though. Communication with the teacher, room mom, nurse and administrators is my strongest suggestion. It is my experience the teacher can make a world of difference in a successful year. Good luck and share your experience with your school.
